Planned Giving

How to contribute

The YMCA of Ithaca & Tompkins County welcome contributions to its endowment funds. All gifts help the Ithaca Y continue to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living, & social responsibility.
Planned Giving: There are many ways to include charitable gifts within your overall estate and financial plans. With thoughtful planning, you take control of the decisions that will affect your family's future and pass on the values you hold dear. The Ithaca Y's Open Doors Scholarship Program is enriched when it is named a beneficiary of a donor's will, insurance policy, retirement plan or trust.

Here are a few ways to make a planned gift:

Bequests in your will
Naming the YMCA of Ithaca & Tompkins County as a beneficiary of a retirement plan
Establishing a Charitable Remainder Trust (which allows you to retain income for life)
Establishing a Charitable Gift Annuity (which allows you to retain income for life
Establishing a Charitable Lead Trust (which allows a charity to receive income for your lifetime, with remaining assets directed to your heirs)

Gifts in honor of or in memory of an individual: Support the Ithaca Y by making a gift in honor or in memory of a friend or loved one.
